The Manor at Sway
Tuakana worked alongside renowned, London based, interior designer David Bentheim & his team to transform the hotel. With a short six week schedule & restricted budget Tuakana delivered on both accounts. The patrons were not disappointed for its Valentines Night re-opening.

Utilising the fantastic ideas from our client to create an imaginative and extremely successful makeover of this forest property. Works included Roof alterations, new slate roof covering, Marley Cedral Weatherboard cladding, zinc guttering, aluminium guttering.

Working with this early 20th century property we have added a contemporary light filled extension to create an open plan kitchen extension. Quality products have ensured it looks great and will last a long time. German made Kitchen from www.dreamdesign.co.uk German manufactured Sunfold Bifolding doors and lantern. To the rear we have created a large raised terrace area using retaining walls and railway sleepers all topped with an Indian Sandstone patio.
‘Design and build’ rear extension project overcoming a height restriction through a contemporary shallow pitched lead roof design.
Structural works to open up a kitchen & family room. Creating a light and spacious kitchen area which opens up on to the large garden.
Vaulted rear extension with exposed oak truss. The client required the extension to blend with the existing materials including matching the brickwork, tiles, render and landscaping.
Design and build project to extend and refurbish this Victorian detached Lymington property. A beautiful, vaulted and light filled kitchen living space was created whilst also accommodating a cosy snug area within the core of the house. Other works included new flooring, landscaping, decorating, lime mortar pointing and zinc guttering.
6 month project to renovate, extend and restyle a 300 year old clay cob cottage. Existing extensions were reconfigured to completely change the flow and feel of the internal layout. Within the grounds two oak frame buildings were constructed using oak cladding and handmade Tudor clay tiles for the roof. To finish the project we laid a shingle and block paved driveway, arched gates within a new perimeter brick wall, electric vehicular gates, turf, brick patio and paving within the garden.
Repeat projects including refurbishment of the kitchen, bathrooms, utilities & heating system, and most notably the addition of a large orangery to the rear of the house. The structural changes to the house have created a real “wow” space in what were otherwise quite dark rooms with no outlook.
