We are an experienced building contractor in Hampshire, with expertise in the industrial, education, hospitality and leisure sectors. Previous projects include commercial new builds, refurbishments, remodelling, extensions and property conversions. Therefore, we understand that planning and programming are key to minimising the disruption of construction work on your business.

The Old Dairy

A cluster of dilapidated, unused, historic dairy buildings on Silver Street in Sway, carefully converted to a fully functioning, modern office environment complete with additional commercial units, courtyard, landscaped and wild meadow gardens, parking and views across the forest. The traditional farmstead development conserved and enhanced the structures and immediate surrounding area whilst retaining the essence of traditional New Forest vernacular and achieving high levels of sustainable construction. Restored, reused and recycled materials were employed for the majority of the project and much of the furniture was handcrafted by Tuakana’s own carpenters, using recycled materials. Offering an interesting and vibrant working environment, that the team are extremely proud of.

The Manor at Sway

Working alongside renowned, London based, interior designer David Bentheim & his team we transformed this tired Edwardian building into a stunning, boutique country house hotel. With an optimistic six week schedule and a specific budget we delivered on both accounts.

The patrons were not disappointed for its Valentines Night re-opening!

Rathbones

Office refurbishment of this Grade 2 listed Lymington high street property. Working closely with the client, architect and conservation officer to restore and develop the wing of this prestigious building within a very tight time schedule.

External refurbishment including bespoke joinery and decoration of the landmark commercial premises in Lymington.

Hyundai

Extension and renovation project for Everton Hyundai, a family-run Hyundai and used car dealer based in Lymington, Hampshire. Offering a clean, fresh and modern showroom to impress clients and a fully equipped, enhanced workshop create an ideal working environment for their technicians.

Sea Talk Systems

A complete commercial warehouse extension and fit out for a manufacturer in Undersea Telecommunications Industry. From works to the steel frame and concrete floor installation to fitting kitchens and bathrooms.

Burley Manor Hotel

Burley Manor Hotel is a baronial style manor house nestled in the heart of the New Forest village of Burley, Tuakana worked alongside the hotel to remove a number of French doors and casement windows and replace these with a modern fully finish timber product, in keeping with the style and history of the building. The work was carried out and completed within a tight timescale due to the occupation of the rooms for the summer holiday period.

Brockhills Veterinary Practice

Located within the grounds of a new build home also built by Tuakana, Brockhills Veterinary Practice was two phase new build project which initially saw the construction of the outer brick shell and timber clad structure, with slate roof, followed by the internal fit out of the operation rooms, reception area, kitchen and bathroom.

South Lawn Hotel

A 24 bedroom extension to an iconic hotel in Milford-on-sea. A short lead in period and an extremely tight turnaround programme enabling the rooms to be occupied in time for the Jubilee weekend! Even with such a short programme we managed to exceed expectation by delivering the renowned Tuakana quality throughout. Hitting the fabled target of quality, speed and cost for this client.

Bartley Lodge

Bartley Lodge is a listed country house hotel located in the New Forest. The project involved the reconfiguration of an existing gym, laundry and storerooms into a new large open plan function room, incorporating large scale structural alterations. The scope of works extended to the creation of new changing complex for the swimming pool as well as back of house facilities.
