Chewton Oaks
Comprising 10 stunning apartments, the highly commended “Chewton Oaks” in Highcliffe, near Christchurch, combined Arts and Crafts design and materials with current building techniques that offers modern, practical living with a timeless elegance.
Situated just minutes from the Chewton Glen Hotel with Highcliffe Castle and the Dorset Coast a stones throw away, giving residents luxury living with the best of Dorset and the New Forest on their doorstep.
Rose Cottages
Design and creation of six quaint new-build mews cottages in this select Ewshot village development near Farnham. Exceeding all expectations in terms of value, these beautifully designed modern homes comprised ground source heat pumps, rain water harvesting, underfloor heating and bespoke timber kitchens.
The site also involved the renovation of two chocolate box Hampshire cottages. Sensitively exposing oak beams and expressing vaulted ceilings. Handmade bespoke timber kitchens, natural terracotta tiles and sisal carpets all helped give these cottages the sympathetic make-over required for a discerning market.
Aldermoor
This traditional Victorian, red brick property borders the open Forest on the outskirts of Brockenhurst, the project involved the addition of two new extensions which referenced the period features of the main property. In addition to the extensions, the interior underwent a full refurbishment, including a traditional hand built painted kitchen, bespoke bathrooms finished to a high standard.
Freshfield
Located in the seaside village of Milford on Sea, this large-scale project involved a full refurbishment to both the interior and exterior of the property, including an extensive landscaping scheme. The art deco influence was at the forefront of the external façade and detailing. The internal works consisted of a large open plan kitchen dining area, a spacious hall with a bespoke staircase and timber panelling. Individually designed bathrooms were finished to a very high standard including detailed herringbone wall tiling and art deco inspired wall papering.
Lane End
This large period property located in the heart of the New Forest, saw the replacement of 35 original timber windows, with a sympathetic and modern alternative. The project incorporated specialist lime render works and bespoke joinery. Alongside the works to the main house, Tuakana also carried out a refurbishment to the home office located in an outbuilding, including the installation of oak bi fold doors and feature timber work.
